Be part of the movement to prevent violence, promote healthy relationships, and build safer communities. Whether you’re a student, coach, parent, or community member, there’s a way for you to make a difference.
Ways to Get Involved:
- October is domestic violence awareness month. Connect with us in bringing awareness! Stand in solidarity with survivors and help raise awareness by participating in local domestic violence walks.
- Be an Upstander, Not a Bystander: Learn how to safely intervene, support others, and prevent harmful situations in your community.
- Volunteer or Support Partner Organizations: ODAAP collaborates with incredible groups across Philadelphia. We can connect you with additional volunteer opportunities or ways to give back.
- February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness month. Help educate your friends and classmates about digital abuse, boundaries, and respect.
- Start a Student Club: Bring awareness to your school by launching a student-led club focused on promoting healthy relationships and preventing dating violence.
- Get Your Team Involved: Coaches play a critical role in shaping young leaders. Encourage your coach to connect with us about bringing ODAAP’s trauma-informed, violence-prevention programs to your team.
A Word from Our Coaches
ODAAP has allowed me to coach and mentor with a tremendous amount of compassion and insight about what they possibly could be going through.
The ODAAP program has enhanced my coaching more than any professional development or clinic I have ever participated in.
The course allowed us to see these concepts at play not only with our players — but also in our own lived experiences.
